Change or fix your shipping label

Whatnot Support Whatnot Support

If something on your shipping label is incorrect (like weight, label size, or your return address), you can usually update it in Seller Hub.

What you’re able to change depends on whether the label has been generated and the current shipment status.

On this page:

Check label generation status

To see whether a label has been generated:

  1. On whatnot.com, go to Seller Hub → Shipments.

  2. Find the order and check the shipment status:

    • Needs Label → Label has not been generated

    • Ready to Ship → Label has already been generated

Once you confirm the label status, use the guide below to see what you can edit.

Make changes to your label

These steps are only available in Seller Hub on web (whatnot.com), not in the app.

  2. Under Default Label Options, update your Return Address.
  3. Generate your labels.

Change your label or packing slip size

Before label generation:

  1. From the Shipments page, open the Sidebar.
  2. Under Default Label Options, edit your label or packing slip size.
  3. Generate your labels.

After label generation:

If you've already generated your label(s), you can still update the size and regenerate.

  3. Save your changes.
  4. Find the shipment and tap the pencil icon to edit.

  2. Select Edit Shipping Details (before label generation) or Generate New Label.

Bundle or unbundle items

Bundle items

  • Before label generation: You can bundle items into one shipment → How to bundle.
  • After label generation: Bundles can’t be changed. Ship items separately.

Unbundle items

  • Before label generation: You can remove items from a bundle → How to unbundle.
  • After label generation (until the original shipment is in transit): You can unbundle items to create new shipments and labels → How to unbundle.
Change the shipping service

Shipping services are usually determined by your show's shipping settings and the item's shipping profile. In most cases, the service can’t be changed after the item sells.

In some situations, you may be able to update the service after a sale, typically by adjusting the package weight or selecting another eligible option (like USPS Flat Rate).

To update the shipping service:

  1. Open the shipment from your Shipments page.
  2. Select Edit Shipping Details (before label generation) or Generate New Label.
  3. Update the weight to change the service, or select another eligible service (e.g. USPS Flat Rate).
  4. Review changes under Shipping Costs → Pending Adjustments.
  5. Select Save or Generate New Label.

Note: Some services can’t be applied after the item sells, including USPS First-Class Mail Letter and Free Pickup.
