After you make a sale, generate a Whatnot shipping label before shipping your order.

You can create labels from the Shipments page in Seller Hub. Labels include carrier tracking (when available), which helps make sure the order status updates for buyers. 

Labels are available as PDFs in two sizes:

  • 8.5 × 11 inches — standard printers

  • 4 × 6 inches — thermal label printers 

Tip: To avoid tracking issues or delayed payouts, always use a Whatnot-generated shipping label unless Bring Your Own Label (BYOL) is officially supported in your country.

Before you generate labels

Check the following before creating your label:

  • Shipment details: Confirm your package weight, dimensions, and bundles are accurate. Incorrect details can lead to carrier surcharges or payout delays. If needed, make a shipping adjustment before continuing.

  • Buyer cancellations: If a cancellation request is pending, you won’t be able to generate a label. Decline the request first if you plan to ship the order.

  • Label settings: Review your default return address and label size. Once a label is generated, your return address can’t be changed.


How to generate labels

Go to your Shipments page

  1. From whatnot.com, click your account icon (top right).

  2. Under Selling, select Shipments.

  3. Filter by Needs Label (or filter by show or marketplace).

From here, you can generate one label or multiple labels.

Generate a single label 

  1. Select the order.

  2. Click Generate Label.

  3. Select Print Shipping Label.

Generate multiple labels (in bulk)

  1. Select the orders you want to generate labels for, or choose Select All.

  2. Under Shipping Actions, click Generate Labels.

  3. With the same shipments selected, click Export Shipping / Label Slips.

  4. Choose what to export:

    • Shipping labels

    • Packing slips

    • Both

  5. Confirm your sort order (your selection saves for next time) and label size. 

  6. Select View & Print PDF or Send via Email.

  7. Print your labels.


Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Can I change a label after generating it?

Some updates can be made after generation. See Change or fix your shipping label for details on what you can update yourself and when to contact Whatnot Support.

If eligible, the original label will be voided and a new one generated.

Can I use my own label?

No. You must use a Whatnot-generated label unless BYOL is officially supported in your country. Using a different label can prevent tracking updates and delay your payout. 

If you used a different label by mistake, contact Whatnot Support right away.

Can I still ship if I don’t have a printer?

You’ll need a printed label to ship an order from Whatnot. 

If you don’t have a printer, you can:

  • Use a local print shop or shipping center

  • Borrow a printer

  • Consider purchasing a thermal printer if you ship regularly

Can I generate shipping labels on the mobile app?

Yes, but only one label at a time. Bulk label generation and shipping adjustments must be done on whatnot.com.

Can I use a QR code to print my label at the post office?

No. Whatnot doesn’t support QR code shipping labels. 

You’ll need to print your label before shipping your order.
