When you make a sale on Whatnot, your earnings first process in your account. Once funds are available in your balance, you can start a payout to send them to your bank.

Add or edit your payout method
Your payout method is the bank account where we send your earnings.
Before your first payout: Verify as seller to add a payout method. This helps keep your account secure and makes sure we’re paying the right person.
You can add a new payout method or update your existing one anytime.
Add or edit payout method in the app
- Open the app
- Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down and go to Payouts
- Tap Add a Payout Method or Edit Payout Settings to open Stripe Connect in your browser

- From whatnot.com, click on your account icon in the top right
- Under the Selling tab, open Seller Hub
- On the left, click Financials and open the Payouts tab
- Click Add a Payout Method or Edit Payout Settings to open Stripe Connect
If you’re adding a payout method for the first time, you’ll create or connect a Stripe account, verify your personal information, and choose the bank account for your payouts.
If you already have a payout method, follow the prompts in Stripe Connect to update it.
Tip: PayPal is no longer available for new payouts. If you added PayPal before it was removed, you can continue using it.
Start a payout
Once your payout method is set up and you have available funds, you can start a payout at any time.
Each payout moves your available earnings from your Whatnot balance to your selected payout method.
Start a payout in the app
- Open the app
- Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen
- In the top right, open the menu (☰)
- Go to Payouts
- Tap Start Payout
Start a payout on web
- From whatnot.com, click on your account icon in the top right
- Under the Selling tab, open Seller Hub
- On the left, click Financials and open the Payouts tab
- Click Start Payout
How long payouts take
After you start a payout, funds typically arrive within 1–2 business days. Business days don’t include weekends or local banking holidays.
Banking holidays may delay payouts, even if the status shows processing.
Holiday schedules:
- US (and CA paid in CAD): US federal banking holiday schedule
- EU & UK: Irish banking holiday schedule
- AU: Australian public holiday schedule
You can check your payout status and history anytime in Seller Hub > Payouts.
When funds reach your bank account, the status updates to Completed.
