Set up and send payouts to your bank

After your order is delivered, your earnings will start processing within 4 hours and then automatically show up in your Whatnot account balance. Once the funds are available, you’ll be able to start a payout to send the money to your bank.

Before you can start a payout, you’ll need to verify your Whatnot account and set up a payout method using Stripe.

Verify your Whatnot account

New sellers need to verify their Whatnot account before they can move earnings to their bank. This helps keep your account secure and ensures we’re paying the right person.

You'll need to:

• Verify your phone number
• Add a valid credit card
• Submit a photo ID and selfie

You can complete these steps at any time after creating your account. But they must be done before you're able to start a payout.

Add a payout method 

Before you can start a payout, you’ll need to link a Stripe account and choose the bank where you want to receive payouts. 

On Whatnot app (iPhone or Android): 

1. Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen 
2. Scroll dow and go to Payouts 
3. Tap Add a Payout Method (this will open Stripe Connect in your browser)

On whatnot.com: 

1. Sign in to whatnot.com 
2. Click on your profile icon 
3. From the Selling tab, open Seller Hub 
4. On the left, select Financials 
5. Open the Payouts tab
6. Click Add a Payout Method to open Stripe Connect 

In Stripe Connect, you’ll create or connect a Stripe account, verify your personal info, and select the bank account for your payouts.

Need to add a new payout method later? Follow the same steps above to open Payouts in Seller Hub, then click or tap Edit Payout Settings. You’ll be taken to Stripe to update your bank details.

Start a payout

Once your payout method is set up, you can send money from your Whatnot balance to your bank. You’ll only be able to start a payout if you have funds available in your balance. 

On Whatnot app (iPhone or Android): 

1. Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen 
2. In the top right, open the menu (☰)
3. Go to Payouts
4. Tap Start Payout 

On whatnot.com: 

1. Sign in to whatnot.com 
2. Click your profile icon 
3. From the Selling tab, open Seller Hub 
4. On the left, find and open Financials 
5. Open the Payouts tab
6. Click Start Payout

After you initiate a payout, it usually takes 1–2 business days (not counting weekends or holidays) for the funds to be available in your bank account. 

You can track your payout status and history from the Payouts page. Once the funds are available, the payout status will change to to Completed. 

Troubleshoot payout issues

I didn’t get my payout

• Payouts usually arrive in 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)

• If it’s been longer than 3 business days and you haven't received payment, contact support with the payout date and amount

My payout failed

If your payout fails, the funds return to your Whatnot balance automatically, and you can try starting a payout again. 

Reasons payout can fail: 

• Your bank declined it – Contact your bank for more help
• Your bank info is wrong – Update your payout method information from the Payouts page in Seller Hub
• Your bank account is closed – Add a new payment method from the Payouts page in Seller Hub

My account is suspended or banned 

• If you’re suspended, you can start a payout once your account is reinstated
• If banned permanently, Whatnot will automatically send a payout with your remaining balance to your bank within 31 days
