Set up and start a payout

Once your earnings finish processing, they’ll show up in your Whatnot account balance. When your funds are available, you can start a payout to send the money from Whatnot to your chosen bank account. 

Before your first payout: You’ll need to verify as seller (phone number, payment, and ID) before you can add a payout method. Verification helps keep your account secure and ensures we’re paying the right person.

Add or edit your payout method 

Once your Whatnot account is verified, you can add your payout method, which is the bank account where your earnings will be sent. 

You can update your payout method anytime if your bank information changes.

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll down and go to Payouts
  4. Tap Add a Payout Method or Edit Payout Settings to open Stripe Connect in your browser

  1. From whatnot.com, click on your account icon in the top right
  2. Under the Selling tab, open Seller Hub
  3. On the left, click Financials and open the Payouts tab
  4. Click Add a Payout Method or Edit Payout Settings to open Stripe Connect

If you’re adding a payout method for the first time, you’ll create or connect a Stripe account, verify your personal information, and choose the bank account for your payouts.

If you already have a payout method, follow the prompts in Stripe Connect to update it. 

Tip: PayPal isn’t available for new payouts anymore, but if you added it before it was removed, you can keep using it.

Start a payout

Once your payout method is set up, you can start a payout anytime you have available funds in your Whatnot balance. 

Each payout transfers your earnings from your Whatnot balance to your chosen payout method.

  1. Open the app
  2. Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen
  3. In the top right, open the menu (☰)
  4. Go to Payouts
  5. Tap Start Payout

  1. From whatnot.com, click on your account icon in the top right
  2. Under the Selling tab, open Seller Hub
  3. On the left, click Financials and open the Payouts tab
  4. Click Start Payout

After you start a payout, your funds usually arrive in your bank account within 1–2 business days, not counting weekends or holidays.

Check your payout status and history anytime on the Payouts page in Seller Hub. When the funds reach your bank account, the payout status will update to Completed.
