Manage your product listings

Whatnot Support Whatnot Support

Once you’ve created a listing, you can manage it from Seller Hub > Inventory as your inventory and selling needs change.

You can manage listings in the Whatnot app or on whatnot.com. Some options and steps vary between the app and web.

On this page:

Find your listings and drafts

In the app or on whatnot.com, go to Seller Hub > Inventory to find your listings.

They're organized into tabs:

  • Active: Listings buyers can see and purchase
  • Drafts: Unfinished listings only you can see
  • Inactive: Listings you've deactivated or that have sold out

Tip: When a listing sells out, it moves to Inactive. Add more stock or add the listing to a show to make it Active again.

Publish a draft

If you saved a listing as a draft, you can publish it when you're ready.

Once you publish a listing, you can’t turn it back into a draft. If you want to hide it from buyers, deactivate it instead.

Note: Listings created directly from a show’s Live Shop can’t be saved as drafts.

In the app
  1. Open Seller Hub seller hub, and tap the menu
  2. Go to Inventory > Drafts.
  3. Select your draft.
  4. Complete any remaining details.
  5. Click Publish.
On whatnot.com
  1. Go to Seller Hub > Inventory > Drafts.
  2. Select your draft.
  3. Complete any remaining details.
  4. Click Publish.

Edit a listing

You can edit Active, Draft, and Inactive listings, including sold-out listings.

However, you can’t edit a listing:

  • While a buyer is checking out
  • While its Auction is running in your show
  • While it’s part of a Flash Sale that has already started

To edit a listing:

  1. From the app or whatnot.com, go to Seller Hub > Inventory.
  2. Select the listing you want to update.
  3. Make your changes, then save.

Tip: If you can’t edit a listing, duplicate it and make your changes to the new listing instead.

Change a listing's selling format

When editing a listing, you can switch a listing between Buy It Now and Auction

Select the new format, add a price for Buy It Now or a starting bid for Auction, then save.

If you switch a listing to Auction, you’ll still need to start the Auction from your show before buyers can bid and purchase.

A few things to know:

  • Giveaways can’t be switched to another selling format. Create a new listing instead.
  • Some listings can't be switched while they're in use. This includes listings while a buyer is checking out and Auctions currently running in a show.
  • Duplicates keep the same selling format at first. If you duplicate a listing, you can change the format of the new listing afterward.

You can add an existing listing to an upcoming or live show from Inventory or directly from your Show.

From Inventory

In the app

  2. Check the box next to the listing(s).
  3. Click Duplicate in the menu bar at the bottom
  4. Edit the new draft as needed, then save it as a draft or publish it.

Tip: If you want the same inventory across multiple shows, clone the listing instead of duplicating it.
