Run a Flash Sale

Flash Sales let you sell Buy It Now listings at a discounted price for a limited time, exclusively during live shows.

Create a Flash Sale listing 

On the app

1. From your live show, open your shop and add a listing 

2. Choose Quality Listing and fill out the details 

3. Make sure to select Buy It Now as the purchase format 

   • Include Quantity (total units available for the Flash Sale)

   • Set the full Price before discount

   • Make sure Reserve for Live is enabled 

4. Turn on Flash Sale and configure:

   • Discount type:

     • Percentage off: Set a percentage discount applied to the listing price

     • Price off: Set a fixed discount amount (percentage is calculated automatically)

   • Flash Sale duration: Set how long the sale runs. We recommend at least 30 seconds to give buyers time to check out.

   • Available for full price (Optional): Keeps the item available at full price outside the Flash Sale.

   • Max purchase limit (Optional): Limit how many units each buyer can purchase so more buyers can participate.

5. Publish your listing 

On web

1. From the Shows page in Seller Hub, open your show

2. Click Add in the left sidebar

3. Select Create Temporary Listing

4. Choose Buy It Now and enter listing details

   • Include Quantity (total units available for the Flash Sale)

   • Set the full Price before discount

5.  Turn on Flash Sale and configure:

   • Discount type: Percentage off or price off
   • Flash Sale duration: Recommended at least 30 seconds
   • Available for full price (optional)
   • Max purchase limit (optional)
6. Publish your listing 

Start a Flash Sale 

Once you've created your listing and gone live, you can start your Flash Sale. 

When you run a Flash Sale, buyers can purchase the product during the duration of time you chose. 

To start a Flash Sale:

1. While live, open your shop inventory and go to the Buy It Now tab
2. Find the product you've listed for Flash Sale 
3. Select Product Actions > Start Flash Sale

Tip: Pin the item first to build interest or give yourself time to talk about the product, then start the Flash Sale. The item will also automatically pin when the Flash Sale starts.

Tip: You can also run any existing Buy It Now product listing as a Flash Sale. Just tap the menu …  while viewing the listing and select Run as Flash Sale. After the sale ends, the listing returns to Buy It Now at it's full price.

FAQs

Will the listing return to Buy It Now after the sale?

Yes. If you run an existing Buy It Now listing as a Flash Sale, the product returns to it's original state as a BIN once the sale ends. If you create a new Flash Sale, enable Available for full price to keep it active after the sale.

If the item sells out, it will no longer be available.

Do Flash Sales count as Quality Listings?

Even though Flash Sales are created via the Temporary Listing option, as long as you add a photo and a condition (if needed for your category), it will count as a Quality Listing.

Can buyers make offers on Flash Sales?

No. Additional discounts (like offers) aren’t available on Flash Sale items.
