Cloning Items

The Clone  feature in Whatnot allows you to duplicate an existing unsold listing, including all properties and settings, to save time by eliminating the need to create new listings. . This can save time and effort when you need to add existing unsold inventory to your upcoming shows. . 

How to Clone Items (iOS app)

1. Open the show you'd like to clone items too
2. Select the 3 Dots on the right side of the screen
3. Tap the Clone Items box
4. Scroll through and tap on a previous or future livestream
5. Tap to select each listing you want to copy to the current live show, or tap Select all to clone all listings
6. Tap Clone, then Yes, to add those listings to your stream 

How to Clone Items (Web)

1. On a web browser, go to https://www.whatnot.com/dashboard/lives and locate the show from which you’d like to clone. 
2. Click the “View and clone items from this show” button below the show’s title.
3. From the dropdown at the top of the new page that opens, select the show to which you would like to clone items. You can only clone items to future shows that have already been scheduled.
4. Tick the checkbox to the left of the listing(s) you would like to clone, or to select all items from the show, tick the “Select All” checkbox located at the top of the list. 
5. When you have all of the items you’d like to clone selected, click the yellow Clone button at the bottom of the page. Your listings have now all been added to your upcoming show!  

Important things to know

1. Cloning is only available for unsold auctions and Buy It Now items from your other live shows. You can clone items from past or future shows
2. Cloning items does not increase the quantity of the item. For example, if you have 1 pair of sneakers from a previous show that was cloned into 2 upcoming shows and the shoes are sold from one of the upcoming shows, they will appear as out of stock in all  future shows they were cloned to! This eliminates the possibility of an item selling twice when you only have one to sell. 3. You cannot clone items that are listed in shows with the 'Temporary Listing' feature
4. When editing a cloned item, any edit made will be applied to all quantiles of the item. For example, if you have cloned a sports card and you edit the weight of the sports card on one listing, the weight will be adjusted on the seconded cloned listing as well. 

You cannot clone items from your marketplace listings. If you want to list these in your shows, you can visit your shop, select the listing then 'Options', and 'Assign to a Live Show'.
