Bundle and unbundle shipments

Whatnot Support Whatnot Support

Before you ship, you can manually bundle or unbundle orders from Seller Hub on whatnot.com

This lets you control which items ship together and fix any orders that didn’t bundle correctly during purchase.

Before you start

  • You can bundle orders from either the marketplace or a show, but not both together.

  • All bundled orders must be from the same buyer.

  • After you generate a shipping label, you can still unbundle items, but you won’t be able to bundle new ones together.

How to unbundle a shipment

Unbundling separates a shipment with multiple items into individual packages, each with its own label.

You can unbundle a shipment before or after generating a label. If you’re unbundling after label creation, do it before the original label is marked as Shipping or In Transit.

This can be useful if you’ve already packed a bundled order and forgot to include an item in the package. Unbundle the shipment to ship that item separately.

If you haven’t generated a label yet
  1. From whatnot.com, open the Shipments page in Seller Hub.
  2. Filter by Needs Label.
  3. Find and select the bundled shipment.
  4. Click the Unbundle Shipment button.
  5. Check the item(s) you want to remove from the bundle.
  6. Click the Unbundle Selected Items button.
  7. Review changes and confirm unbundling.
  8. Check the shipment details for each new shipment and edit if needed.
  9. Generate a label for each shipment.
If you’ve already generated a label
  1. From whatnot.com, open the Shipments page in Seller Hub.
  2. Filter by Unfulfilled.
  3. Select the shipment you want to unbundle.
  4. Click Generate New Label.
  5. Check the item(s) you want to remove from the bundle, then click Next.
  6. Check the shipment details for each new shipment and edit if needed.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Review the changes and Generate Shipping Label.

  2. Filter by Needs Label.
  3. Select two or more shipments from the same buyer.
  4. Click Bundle Selected Shipments.
  5. Review changes and confirm.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Can I ship multiple purchases from the same buyer in one package?

Yes, if you bundle the items in Seller Hub before generating a label.

If you pack items together without bundling first, some orders may still show as Preparing Package. This can confuse buyers and delay your payout.

If you’ve already generated labels, ship the items separately using those labels.

What if I shipped multiple items in one package by mistake?

Each order must be shipped with its own shipping label generated in Seller Hub. This ensures accurate tracking, clear buyer visibility, and timely payouts.

If you shipped multiple orders together without officially bundling them in Seller Hub, contact Whatnot Support. We’ll help update the tracking information so each order matches the correct label.

What if I forgot to include an item before shipping a package?

If the original package hasn’t been marked In Transit, you can unbundle the missing item in Seller Hub and ship it separately. A new label will be generated for that item.

If the package is already In Transit, contact Whatnot Support. We’ll help make sure the buyer still receives the missing item.

Will I be charged for bundling or unbundling?

It depends on how shipping costs change:

  • Bundling is free if the new label costs less than the original labels combined.

  • Unbundling may cost more if the new labels are more expensive.

You get 5 free shipping adjustments per week. After that, fees may apply. Any additional costs are shown before you confirm.
