Early Payout lets eligible Sellers access their earnings sooner.
Normally, earnings usually become available after an order is confirmed as delivered. With Early Payout, your earnings become available as soon as you generate a shipping label.
Once your earnings are added to your available balance, you can request a payout to your bank account

How Early Payout works
With Early Payout:
- You make a sale.
- You generate the shipping label.
- Your earnings are added to your available balance.
- You request a payout to your bank account.
Early Payout changes when your earnings become available. It doesn’t change your shipping responsibilities or how long a bank transfer takes.
Early Payout only applies to orders sold after you gain access to the program. Orders sold before you’re eligible will continue following the standard earnings timeline.
How to qualify for Early Payout
Early Payout qualification is changing: Starting August 31, 2026, only orders that meet the qualifying criteria below, and the sales from those orders, will count toward Early Payout eligibility
If you started selling before August 31, 2026 and don’t have Early Payout yet, you will continue qualifying under the previous requirements through September 30, 2026. After that, the new requirements will apply to you.
Already have Early Payout as of August 31, 2026? You’ll keep your access and this change won’t affect you.
You’ll automatically get Early Payout when you meet all the requirements shown in Seller Hub, including:
- Maintaining the required average seller rating
- Hosting the required number of lifetime shows
- Reaching the required lifetime milestone for either qualifying sales or qualifying orders
Check Seller Hub → Payouts to see the exact requirements that apply to your account and track your progress.
We review eligibility automatically every 24 hours. Once you meet the requirements, it may take up to a day for Early Payout to appear on your account.
What counts as qualifying orders and sales?
Qualifying orders are orders that meet all of the following criteria:
- The order was confirmed as delivered, or 30 days have passed since payment without a cancellation, refund, chargeback, or dispute.
- It wasn’t fulfilled through local pickup.
- It wasn’t a Giveaway or a tip.
- No coupon or credit was applied to the order.
Coupons and credits include seller-generated coupons like Rewards Club, Whatnot-issued coupons, referral or signup credits, Support-issued credits, and Points redemptions.
Qualifying sales are the sales value of your qualifying orders before fees.
If an order doesn’t meet the criteria above, neither the order nor its sales value counts toward your Early Payout milestones.

Keeping Early Payout access
To continue using Early Payout:
- Maintain the required average seller rating
- Ship orders within two business days of the sale.
- Keep refunds, cancellations, and unfulfilled orders low.
If your account no longer meets these standards, Early Payout may be temporarily removed.
If you lose access to Early Payout:
- New orders follow the standard earnings timeline
- Your account continues to be reviewed automatically every 24 hours
Access to Early Payout may be automatically restored when your performance returns to eligible levels.
Payment holds
Even with Early Payout, on rare occasions, some or all of your earnings may be placed on a payment hold.
When this happens, those earnings won't be eligible for Early Payout. Instead, they'll follow the standard earnings timeline until they're available for payout.
Payment holds are uncommon, but they may happen if:
- You're a new or infrequent seller. While you're getting started, some earnings may be held as your account builds selling history.
- Your selling activity changes significantly. For example, a sudden increase in sales volume may trigger a temporary hold.
- Your account needs additional review. An unusually high number of refunds, cancellations, delayed shipments, or unfulfilled orders may result in some earnings being held.
While earnings are on hold:
- They appear as Processing in your ledger.
- They follow the standard earnings timeline instead of Early Payout.
- Once the transaction is marked Completed, the earnings become available and you can start a payout.
To check the status of a transaction:
- Mobile: Seller Hub → Payouts → Transactions
- Web: Seller Hub → Ledger
You can filter by Processing to see transactions that are still being processed.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my qualifying sales and order totals lower than my overall totals?
Not all orders count toward Early Payout eligibility. Your overall totals include every order, while your qualifying totals only include orders that count toward Early Payout eligibility. Non-qualifying orders are still paid out as usual.
Some orders won’t qualify, such as orders fulfilled through local pickup, Giveaways, or orders where a coupon or credit was applied.
Other orders may not count yet. An order counts once it’s confirmed as delivered or 30 days have passed since payment without a cancellation, refund, chargeback, or dispute.
Check the Payouts page to see your exact progress toward Early Payout and the requirements that currently apply to you.
I have Early Payout. Why are my earnings for an order still processing?
An order may still show as Processing if:
- You recently gained Early Payout access. It can take up to 24 hours to update, and orders placed before you gained access aren’t eligible.
- You haven’t generated the shipping label yet.
- The earnings are on a temporary payment hold. Learn more.
My earnings are available. How do I get them into my bank account?
You'll still need to request a payout to your bank account once your earnings become available on Whatnot, even if you have Early Payout.
In most countries, bank transfers arrive within one to two business days, excluding weekends and local banking holidays. Payouts in Australia typically arrive within two to three business days, and payouts in Canada typically arrive within three to four business days. Learn more about starting a payout.
