This article explains how sellers can share their scheduled or live show, and how to see how often a show has been shared.
How sharing works
Every live or scheduled show has a unique link you can share with anyone. When someone opens your link:
- If they have the Whatnot app, the show opens directly in the app.
- If they don’t, the show opens at whatnot.com in their browser, where they can sign up or log in to participate
- The link preview will show your username, show title, and thumbnail image
You can share your show directly from Whatnot to other platforms (social media, messaging) or via DM.
Because the link works for anyone, sharing is the most direct way to reach potential viewers – including people who have never used Whatnot. Buyers can also share your show from Whatnot, and each share is counted in your show’s share metrics.
Share a scheduled show
From the app
- Tap Seller Hub

- Tap the menu icon in the top right.
- Open the Shows page and find your show.
- Tap Share
on the right side.
- Choose how you’d like to share the link.

- Open the Shows page and find your show.

To copy your show link:
- Click Copy show link next to your show’s name.

To share directly on social platforms:
- Select Open show you want to share.
- Click Share
- Select the platform where you’d like to share your show.

- During your show, tap the Share
- Choose how you’d like to share the link.
See how many times your show was shared
A show’s share count represents how many times a show was shared.
How to check your share count:
- Before your show: Open your scheduled show. The number in the bubble next to the share icon represents the share count. If you do not see a number, the show has not been shared yet.
- During your show: See Understand your show’s performance while you’re live.
- After your show: Open the Seller Hub Analytics page from a web browser. Click the Shows tab to see the number of Shares for that show. Note that seller Analytics takes 1–2 days to update.
Share count does not represent the unique number of people who shared. For example, if a buyer were to share your show to a social media platform, and then share via text, that would count as two separate shares.
Limitations
- Sending your show link as unsolicited direct messages to many users is considered spam and against the Whatnot Community Guidelines.
- Private shows can be shared by anyone with the link — see Schedule a private show.
FAQs
Is sharing my show the same as my referral link?
No. Your Share show link brings anyone to a specific show. A buyer or seller referral link is different, and prompts new users to make a Whatnot account.
Can someone without a Whatnot account still watch my show?
They can watch your show on whatnot.com with your direct link. However, to participate in the chat or make a purchase, they’ll need to create a Whatnot account.
Why does my share count look different in different places?
The live in-show count updates in real time, while Seller Analytics takes 1–2 days to update, so the two may not match immediately.
