A show is a live stream where you can sell items, run auctions, and connect with your audience in real time.
You can schedule and host a show from Seller Hub in the app or on whatnot.com. Scheduling in advance gives you time to prepare listings, promote your show, and build an audience.
Review Whatnot’s Community Guidelines before going live to keep shows fair, safe, and enjoyable.

Schedule a show
- From the app or whatnot.com, open Seller Hub
- (On web) Open the Shows page on the left
- Select Schedule a Show
- Enter your show name, date, and time
- Choose a category
- Shows only appear in the selected category
- If selling multiple product types, choose a primary category
- Select a primary selling format
- Publish your show
Note: Selling formats and tags must be accurate to comply with our Gaming Policy.
Optional:
- Add a thumbnail or preview video
- Use a vertical image or video (9:16 ratio)
- Recommended size: 1080 × 1920 pixels
- If none is added, your profile photo will be used
- Add tags to improve your show’s discoverability
- Add moderators
- Set a repeat schedule
- Adjust shipping settings for this show specifically
- Adjust content settings:
- Explicit content: Flag if your stream has strong language
- Mute words: Automatically hide specific words from the chat
- Choose Public or Private visibility
Tips:
Share your show link early so people can bookmark it and get notified when you go live.
Load your shop so buyers can browse and place pre-bids.
Add Show Notes so buyers know what to expect.

Edit or cancel a show
- From the app or whatnot.com, open Seller Hub
- (On web) Open the Shows page on the left
- Find your upcoming show
- Tap More ⋯ icon
- Select Edit Show or Cancel Show
If you need to change the date or time, you can edit and reschedule instead of canceling.
Start your show
- From the app or whatnot.com, open Seller Hub
- (On web) Open the Shows page on the left
- Open your show
- Select Start Show
End your show
Closing the app or browser only pauses your show. End your show manually to finish it.
- From your live show, tap or click the More ⋯ icon
- Select End Show
- Confirm

Raid another seller’s show to end yours and send your audience to their stream.
You can restart your show within 2 hours of ending it.
