Sellers in the UK, EU and Australia can add their VAT/GST number to their Whatnot account. Once your VAT/GST number has been added and validated, we’ll treat you as a business customer when charging Payment Processing and Platform Commissions. Note, adding your VAT/GST number will not change how other sellers treat purchases you make from them for VAT/GST purposes.
To add your VAT ID to your Whatnot account:
- Go to Seller Hub
- Select Financials from the menu on the left hand side
- Click Add VAT/GST Number
- Enter your VAT number and associated information
- Click Submit
Your VAT/GST number and associated information will be validated against the relevant government database and checked against your associated account information.
Please reach out to support if you have any problems adding your VAT/GST number.
