Add your VAT, GST, or JCT number to your Whatnot account

Sellers in the UK, EU, Australia, and Japan can add their VAT/GST/JCT number to their Whatnot account through Seller Hub on the web.

Once your VAT/GST/JCT number has been added and validated, we’ll treat you as a business customer when charging Payment Processing and Platform Commissions. Note, adding your VAT/GST/JCT number will not change how other sellers treat purchases you make from them for VAT/GST/JCT purposes.

To add your VAT ID to your account:

  1. From whatnot.com, open the Financials page in Seller Hub 
  2. Click Add VAT/GST/JCT Number
  3. Enter your number and associated information
  4. Click Submit

Your VAT/GST/JCT number and associated information will be validated against the relevant government database and checked against your associated account information.
