Co-hosting lets you bring another Whatnot user into your live show with their own video feed, so you appear on screen together.
It’s a collaborative way to go live, combine your audiences, and build community.

What co-hosts can do during a show
Co-hosts appear on screen and participate in the show with the host, but only the host manages the show’s controls and responsibilities.
Co-hosts can:
- Join the host's show with their own video and sound
- Interact with viewers and the chat
- Help present items during the show
- Have their items sold through the host's listings
- Reach a shared audience during the show
Co-hosts can’t:
- Start or end the live show
- List or sell items from their own Shop
- Access the host's Seller Hub
- Print shipping labels
- Receive earnings and payouts directly
Before you invite a co-host
- Only the seller who starts the show (the host) can invite a co-host.
- You can invite a co-host from the Whatnot app or whatnot.com.
- If you invite a co-host from a show you're hosting on whatnot.com, keep in mind:
- The co-host must join from the Whatnot app for iOS or Android.
- You won’t see or hear your co-host's video feed.
How to invite a co-host
- Start your show.
- Type the person’s username in the chat to tag them.
- Tap or click their username from the chat.
- Select Invite to co-host.
They’ll get a notification and see an invitation pop up when they join your show.
Accept an invitation to co-host
- Join the host’s show.
- You’ll see a pop-up about co-hosting.
- Choose Accept or Dismiss.
If you accept, your video and sound appear alongside the host’s.
If you dismiss it, you can watch the show as a regular viewer.
Order fulfillment in co-hosted shows
In a co-hosted show, you’re presenting together, but all order, shipping, and payout responsibilities stay with the host. This includes:
- Fulfilling items sold
- Generating shipping labels
- Handling order issues or support requests
- Receiving earnings and starting payouts
If there’s an issue with an order, it’s tied to the host’s account. However, the Trust & Safety Team may review both accounts if Whatnot’s Community Guidelines aren’t followed.
Send shipping labels to your co-host
If a co-host’s items sell through the host’s listings, the host is responsible for sharing labels and making sure the items are shipped.
If items were bundled but need to ship separately, unbundle them before generating and sharing labels.
To send labels to your co-host:
- Generate the labels for that show.
- Export the labels for items your co-host is shipping.
- Email those labels to your co-host.
Your co-hosts must use these Whatnot-generated labels to make sure tracking works and payouts aren't delayed.
Note: All labels from co-hosted shows will use the host’s return address. Any returned packages will go back to the host.
Earnings and payouts for co-hosted shows
The host receives all earnings for the show, no matter who ships the orders.
If you and your co-host plan to split earnings, the host can distribute funds once payout is complete.
