An offer is a price you propose to a seller for a Buy-It-Now (BIN) item. The seller can accept, decline, or send a counteroffer.
If your offer is accepted, your card will be charged and the seller will ship your item. You’ll get an order confirmation by email.
How to make an offer
If the seller has enabled offers, you’ll see a Make Offer button when viewing the product. You won’t be charged unless the seller accepts.
To place an offer:
- Open the eligible product listing
-
Tap Make Offer (app) or Offer (whatnot.com)
-
Choose a percentage discount or enter a custom offer amount
-
Tap Continue
- Review your offer, payment, and shipping details
- Confirm your offer
Your offer will appear in your Activity tab under Offers.
The seller can either accept, decline, or counter. Offers expire automatically after 30 days if the seller doesn't respond.
If you make an offer during a live show, sellers can view and respond to offers in their shop during the show.
Respond to a counteroffer
If the seller sends a counteroffer, you’ll get a notification. You can review it in your Activity tab under Offers.
To respond, you can:
-
Accept the counteroffer (you'll be charged immediately)
-
Decline it
Update or cancel an offer
From the Activity tab, go to Offers. For any active offers, you can:
- Update your offer
-
Cancel your offer
