Black Friday 0% Commission Promo [US Version]

What is the promo? 

On Friday, November 28th, we’re reducing seller commission to 0% on all eligible  sales within the promotional period for all Whatnot sellers in all countries that Whatnot is available in. 

How long does this promo run? 

The promotion will run for 24hrs and is localized to your timezone*. It will run from 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM on Friday, November 28th, 2025.

*your local timezone is determined by your billing address.

Will payment processing fees be discounted too? 

This promotion only applies to commission, it does not apply to payment processing fees. Your standard payment processing fees will remain the same. 

What sales are eligible for the promotion?

The promotion applies to all live and marketplace sales within the promotional period. When you schedule or start your show does not impact if this promotion will apply to a sale — the only thing that matters is when each individual listing’s purchase is processed.

If a customer submits an ‘Offer’ on a listing prior to the start of the promotion and you accept the offer within the promotion period, the promotion will not be valid. This promotion only applies to ‘Offers’ that are both submitted by the customer and accepted by the seller within the promotion period.

This promotion only applies to commission, it does not apply to payment processing fees. Payment processing fees will remain the same.

How do I apply for my show to be featured in this campaign?

If you’re planning a special show during the promotion period or one that heavily features a deal for your buyers, you can apply to be featured in our deals campaign. If your show is selected to be featured in this campaign, it will be featured in the category page that you’re selling in.

How to apply:

1. Schedule a show during the promo period that is centered around amazing deals that your buyers won’t want to miss.
2. Submit an application to be featured by November 24th. Be sure to include a link to your scheduled show(s). 

If your show is chosen, it will be visible on your category page on November 28th. Use our pre-made Black Friday show thumbnail template to let buyers know you have can't-miss deals. Regardless of your show being chosen or not, take advantage of the 0% commission starting at 12:00 AM on November 28th (your local time). 

I applied to have my show featured for this event and haven’t heard back yet. Did my show get accepted?

Unfortunately, we cannot feature all shows that apply to participate in this campaign. If your show is chosen to be featured, it will be visible on your category page the morning of November 29th. If you do not see your show, unfortunately your application to be featured was not selected.

Black Friday Live - Flash Sale Feed (US Only)

What is the Black Friday Live feed?

To celebrate Black Friday, we’ve launched a Black Friday Live feed: 1,440 flash-sale listings, one per minute for 24 hours to showcase great deals and doorbuster drops across Whatnot.

How do I get featured in the Black Friday Live flash sale feed?

Thanks for your interest! This year’s Black Friday program is a small, curated pilot including sellers from across the app, so we’re keeping participation limited for now. We’ll roll out more opportunities soon, including regional programs. Stay tuned to get involved in future events.

Can I still run Flash Sales if I’m not in the feed?

Yes, you can. Jump on the Black Friday buzz with 0% seller fees, run standout deals and host standout shows. Flash sales are a quick way to build hype and move product fast.

Can users outside of the US see the Black Friday Live flash sale feed?

No. The feed is limited to US buyers and sellers only.

I joined a Flash Sale in the feed and the item is sold out. What do I do?

Sellers are running doorbuster deals with great discounts in their shows so some items tend to sell out quickly. Keep your eyes peeled on upcoming flash sales and remember to be quick.
