Beyond The Con: San Diego Reduced Commission Promotion FAQs

What is the promo? 

To celebrate the biggest weekend of the year for comics and toys, we’re launching a special in-app event called “Beyond the Con: San Diego"—and dropping commission fees to just 4% for all Comics, Toys & Hobbies sellers on live, marketplace, and async auction sales (US only).

Who is eligible to participate? 

Only sellers in the Comics and Toys & Hobbies categories are eligible. This includes all subcategories currently listed under Toys & Hobbies (as shown in the app).

Categories not listed within these (for example, "Retro Games") are not eligible. Please double-check your category placement in the app if you're unsure.

How long does this promo run?

The promotion period is localized to your timezone (your timezone is determined by your billing address) and will run from Thursday, July 24th at 12AM to Sun, July 27th at 11:59PM.

Does my show need to be part of Beyond The Con: San Diego to receive the 4%?

No, your show doesn’t need to be officially tagged to receive the 4% fee. But we encourage you to take part in Beyond the Con—it’s a great way to stand out and tap into the weekend’s momentum.

Does the fee reduction include payment processing fees?

No, sellers will still pay a 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee for each transaction in addition to the reduced commission rate. 

What sales are eligible for the promotion?

• The promotion applies to all live, marketplace, async auction sales within the promotional period. When you schedule or start your show does not impact if this promotion will apply to a sale — the only thing that matters is when each individual listing’s purchase is processed.

• If a customer submits an ‘Offer’ on a listing prior to the start of the promotion and you accept the offer within the promotion period, the promotion will not be valid. This promotion only applies to ‘Offers’ that are both submitted by the customer and accepted by the seller within the promotion period.

• This promotion only applies to commission, it does not apply to payment processing fees. Transaction fees will remain the same (2.9% + $0.30).

Is this promotion only available in the US?

Yes, this event will only be available to sellers within the US.
