This article discusses how to enter a Buyer Appreciation giveaway. 

During a livestream, sellers can run giveaways anytime to show gratitude to their followers and buyers. Giveaways are completely free, and the seller will pay for any shipping costs. 

There are three types of giveaways sellers can run during a livestream: standard giveaways, follower-only giveaways, and Buyer Appreciation giveaways. This article focuses on entering Buyer Appreciation giveaways. Visit Entering a Standard Giveaway to learn more about standard or follower-only giveaways.

About Buyer Appreciation Giveaways

• Buyer Appreciation giveaways are intended to show appreciation for users who have made a purchase during a seller’s livestream. 
• Available in the US, Canada, the UK, France, and Germany. 
  • To enter a Buyer Appreciation giveaway, you must live in the same country as the seller running the giveaway.  
• Users who want to enter must make a purchase AFTER the giveaway is created to qualify.
  • Exception: Pursuant to local laws, United States and Canada users can enter for free after the giveaway is created by filling out a web form found on the giveaway details page.
• Sellers and buyers must use the mobile app to create or enter a Buyer Appreciation giveaway. 

Entering a Pinned Buyer Appreciation Giveaway

Entering a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway If You’ve Made a Purchase

If you’ve already made a purchase during the livestream (either in an auction or from the Buy it Now listings), enter the giveaway by following these steps: 

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device. 
2. Go to the desired livestream. 
3. Once the seller pins the giveaway, tap Enter Giveaway. 

Note: Only buyers who made purchases made between the time the buyer appreciation giveaway was created and the time the giveaway is run are eligible to enter. 

Entering a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway If You Haven’t Made a Purchase (US Only)

If you live in the United States and haven’t made or don’t want to make a purchase during the livestream, follow these steps to enter the Buyer Appreciation giveaway: 

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device. 
2. Go to the desired livestream. 
3. Once the seller pins a giveaway, identify if the giveaway is specified as buyer appreciation. Buyer Appreciation text can be found under the giveaway description at the bottom of the livestream.

4. Tap Learn More. This will open the giveaway details page, which includes info about the giveaway and the seller. 
5. Copy or write down the Giveaway ID. You will need this ID in step 6.
   
6. Under Buyer Appreciation Giveaway, tap the Learn More link to open the web form.
   
7. Fill out the following information:
   1. First Name: Your first name.
   2. Last Name: Your last name.
   3. Email Address: The email address used in your Whatnot account. 
   4. Full Mailing Address: Your street address, city, state, and zip code. 
   5. Giveaway ID: The ID number of the giveaway. You can find the ID on the Buyer Appreciation giveaway details page.
      
8. Tap Submit. 
9. Return to the livestream and tap Enter Giveaway to finish entering. 

Entering a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway Before it Goes Live

Sellers can list all their giveaways under the Giveaways listing tab in their store. In the United States, users who haven’t made or don’t want to make a purchase can enter a Buyer Appreciation giveaway once it’s listed in the seller’s store under the Giveaways tab.

1. Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device. 
2. Go to the desired livestream. 
3. Tap on the Store icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
4. Go to the Giveaway tab. 
5. Tap on the Buyer Appreciation giveaway listing you want to enter to open the giveaway details page. To identify Buyer Appreciation giveaways, look for the Buyer Appreciation text on the giveaway details page.
   
6. Copy or write down the Giveaway ID and Live ID numbers. You will need these ID numbers in step 8.
   
7. Under Buyer Appreciation Giveaway, tap the Enter Giveaway Online (AMOE) link to open the web form.
   
8. Fill out the following information:
   1. First Name: Your first name.
   2. Last Name: Your last name.
   3. Email Address: The email address used in your Whatnot account. 
   4. Full Mailing Address: Your street address, city, state, and zip code. 
   5. Giveaway ID: The ID number of the giveaway. You can find the ID on the Buyer Appreciation giveaway details page.
      
9. Tap Submit. 
10. Once the seller pins the giveaway, click or tap Enter Giveaway.
