Giveaways on Whatnot are free to enter, and sellers cover shipping costs for giveaway items.
When a seller starts a giveaway, eligible viewers can enter through a pop-up in the show. Giveaways typically run for a few minutes before a winner is selected.

Before you enter
To enter any giveaway, you must:
- Have a shipping address saved to your account
- Have a payment method saved to your account
- Be present in the show when the winner is selected
Note: You can only enter giveaways using the Whatnot app.
Enter a Standard Giveaway
Standard Giveaways are open to eligible viewers in a livestream.
To enter:
- When the seller starts the giveaway, tap Enter Giveaway.
- Stay in the livestream until a winner is selected.
Some Standard Giveaways may be limited to users in the seller's country.
Enter a Follower-Only Giveaway
Follower-Only Giveaways work like Standard Giveaways, but you must follow the seller to enter.
To enter:
- When the seller starts the giveaway, tap Enter Giveaway.
- Follow the prompt to follow the seller and enter the giveaway.
- Stay in the livestream until a winner is selected.
Some Follower-Only Giveaways may be limited to users in the seller's country.
Enter a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway
Buyer Appreciation Giveaways (BAGs) are intended to show appreciation for buyers who make a purchase during a seller's show.
To enter a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway, you must make a purchase after the seller creates the giveaway listing and before a winner is selected.
To enter:
- Make a qualifying purchase.
- When the seller starts the giveaway, tap Enter Giveaway.
- Stay in the livestream until a winner is selected.
When international entry is enabled by the seller, Buyer Appreciation Giveaways are available to eligible viewers in:
- Australia
- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- United Kingdom
- United States
Enter without making a purchase (U.S. and CA)
If you live in the United States or Canada, you can also enter a Buyer Appreciation Giveaway without making a purchase.
- Open the giveaway details page.
- Copy the Giveaway ID.
- Open the link about other ways to enter.
- Scroll down and tap View Web Form.
- Complete and submit the form.
- Return to the livestream and tap Enter Giveaway.
- Stay in the livestream until a winner is selected.
Note: You'll need to submit a new entry form for each Buyer Appreciation Giveaway you enter, even if the seller is giving away the same item multiple times.

What happens if I leave the show after entering a giveaway?
If you leave the show before a winner is selected, you'll be removed from the giveaway. If you return before the winner is selected, you'll be automatically re-entered.
How are giveaway winners selected?
Winners are selected at random by Whatnot and announced publicly, in real time during the livestream.
Do I need to pay for shipping if I win?
No. Sellers pay for giveaway shipping costs.
If you're receiving an international shipment, you will be responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees.
