Seller Referral Program

Share your Seller Referral link with someone who wants to sell on Whatnot, and you'll earn a bonus when they make their first qualifying sale. Your referral will also qualify for matched earnings during their first week. 

Once your referral completes their first qualifying sale and delivered the order, your bonus is added to your Whatnot account balance. You can start a payout to your move the funds to your bank. 

Bonus amounts vary by region. Check the amount near your referral link to see how much you can earn.

How to qualify 

To qualify for the Seller Referral bonus:

• You must be: 
  • An approved live seller with at least one sale from a live show
  • Or a verified buyer 
• You can only refer sellers in your region
• You must refer someone who hasn’t applied to sell on Whatnot before 

Steps to earn your bonus

Step 1: Share your Seller Referral link 

Share your referral link with someone new to selling on Whatnot. 

Make sure to use the Seller Referral link. Buyer Referral links won’t count.

Step 2: Your referral makes a qualifying sale

​​The seller you referred must:

• Use your referral link to apply to sell on Whatnot
• Go live and make a public sale of at least $/£/€1
• Ship and deliver the item (giveaways and local pickups don’t count)
• The buyer can't be you (the person who referred the new seller)

Step 3: Get your bonus 

Once the qualifying item is delivered to the buyer:

• Your bonus is added to your Whatnot account balance
• The transaction will appear in your ledger as "Seller Referral Reward"
• Start a payout to send the bonus to your bank

Didn’t get your bonus? 

Your Seller Referral bonus could be missing or delayed for two reasons:

• You or your referral didn’t qualify:
  • You’re not an approved seller or verified buyer
  • Your referral is outside your region or already applied
  • Someone else referred them first
  • You used the wrong referral link
  • Their sale didn’t qualify (giveaway or local pickup)
• The qualifying sale isn’t complete yet:
  • They haven’t gone live or sold an item
  • The item hasn’t been delivered
  • Their seller account is still under review
  • They changed their username or email after approval

Terms

• Whatnot may suspend or terminate the Seller Referral Program, or a user’s ability to participate, at any time for any reason.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts, cancel bonuses, or modify referrals if we detect activity that appears abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of Whatnot’s Community Guidelines.
• We may review and investigate all referral activities at our sole discretion.
