After delivery, you can choose to rate your purchase on a 5-star scale and leave a written review. 

Every rating contributes to a seller’s average rating on their profile, but only ratings with written reviews appear individually on the seller’s profile.

Rating a purchase is optional, but it helps sellers improve and helps other buyers shop with confidence on Whatnot.

Leave a rating

You can rate your purchase in the Whatnot mobile app within 30 days of delivery, as long as the order status is Pending Review.

The order is marked Complete after you submit a review or when the review window closes.

If you've asked the seller to cancel your order, you won’t be able to leave a rating or review, even if the seller declines the request. 

To rate your purchase: 

  1. Open the Whatnot app
  2. Tap the Activity tab, then Purchases 
  3. Select the order 
  4. Tap Rate Purchase
  5. Rate your overall experience on a 5-star scale and leave an optional written comment 

If you choose 4 stars or fewer, you’ll be asked to rate specific areas too:

  • Shipping: How fast was it?
  • Packaging: How was the condition of your order?
  • Accuracy: Did you receive what you expected?

Reviews must follow Whatnot’s Community Guidelines. If a review violates our policies, it may be reported, and we may take action under our What Actions We Take policy.

Sellers can view ratings left on their profile and may publicly reply to written reviews. Learn more

Reviews are meant to share feedback. For help with an order, request support with your purchase.


Delete your review

Reviews can’t be edited, but you can delete them using the Whatnot mobile app.

When you delete a review, both the rating and any written comment are removed from the seller’s profile and average rating. You won’t be able to leave a new review for that purchase.

To delete your review:

  1. Open the Whatnot app
  2. Tap the Activity tab, then Purchases
  3. Select the order you rated
  4. Scroll down and tap the seller’s username to open their profile
  5. Go to the Reviews tab
  6. Find your review (sorted by most recent)
  7. Tap the three dots (⋮) menu and choose Delete
