Rating a purchase is optional, but it’s a great way to share honest feedback about your buying experience and support a fair, transparent marketplace on Whatnot. Your feedback helps sellers grow and helps others buy with confidence. 

Note: Reviews must follow Whatnot's Community Guidelines. If a review violates these guidelines, sellers or other users can report it. We may take corrective action based on our What Actions We Take policy.

Rate your purchase

You can rate your purchase within 30 days after delivery, while the order status is Pending Review. After you leave a review or the review window closes, the order status changes to Completed.

Note: You can only rate your purchase using the Whatnot app for iOS or Android.

  1. Open the Whatnot app
  2. Tap the Activity tab, then Purchases 
  3. Select the order you want to rate
  4. Tap Rate Purchase

You’ll rate your overall experience on a 5-star scale. You can also leave a written review—it's optional, but appreciated.

If you give 4 stars or fewer, we’ll ask for specific ratings on:

  • Shipping: How fast was it?
  • Packaging: What was the condition of your order?
  • Accuracy: Did you receive what you expected?

Delete your rating 

You can delete your rating any time. Editing isn’t available at the moment. 

Note: You can only delete your review using the Whatnot app for iOS or Android.

  1. Open the Whatnot app
  2. Tap the Activity tab, then Purchases
  3. Select the order you rated
  4. Scroll down and tap the seller’s username to open their profile
  5. Go to the Reviews tab
  6. Find your review (sorted by most recent)
  7. Tap the three dots (⋮) and choose Delete

Where your rating appears

  • Written reviews are publicly visible to anyone who views the seller's profile. 
  • Star-only ratings (no written comment) count toward the seller’s average rating, but aren’t shown individually. 
  • Sellers can view the ratings they’ve received in the Reviews tab on their profile. They can also reply to or report your review
