After you start earning money on Whatnot, it’s important to set up your payouts so you can transfer your Whatnot balance into your bank account.
We’ve partnered with Stripe to make it simple and secure when moving money from Whatnot to your bank account. To get started you’ll need to add your bank account on Whatnot. Once you’ve connected your bank account to Whatnot and verified your phone number and credit card, you’ll be able to pay out to your bank account directly through Whatnot.

How long does it take for payouts to reach my bank account?
It typically takes 1-3 business days for a payout to reach your bank account(banks do not process transferson weekends or holidays).
Why do I need to verify my phone number to pay out?
Before you can start paying out your earnings, you’ll need to verify the phone number connected to your account, and have a valid credit card on file. This helps us protect you by confirming that we’re paying the correct person, and makes sure your account is secure and fully verified.
What happens if I pay out, but don’t receive my payment?
If a payout transfer fails, the funds will be returned to your Whatnot balance and you will have the opportunity to try transferring the payment again.
If it has been over 3 business days and you still have not received your payment, please reach out to Whatnot Support with the date of the transfer in question and the amount you attempted to payout.
Your payout may fail due to the following reasons:
- Declined by Bank: If your Payout says it was declined by your bank, please contact your bank directly for assistance with receiving your funds.
- Incorrect Bank Information: You can update your bank details in your payout settings on Whatnot.
- Closed Bank Account: If you initiate a Payout and realize the account you currently have connected has been closed, the Payout will be returned to your balance in the app automatically.
My account was suspended but I haven’t paid out my payments yet. What should I do?
- If you’ve been suspended, you can payout any existing balance once your suspension has been lifted.
- If you’ve been permanently banned, you’ll receive an automatic payout of your remaining balance within 14 days of being banned.
