Free Pickup, also known as Local Pickup, is a delivery method you can choose instead of shipping. It lets you collect your order in person, directly from the seller, without paying for shipping. You may even be able to pick it up the same day.

When Free Pickup is available
- Free Pickup is available in the Whatnot app (iOS and Android), not on web yet
- Only if the seller offers it during their show
- Works for both auctions and Buy It Now purchases in those shows
- You must choose Free Pickup as your delivery method before buying (it can’t be added afterward)
How to use Free Pickup as a buyer
Step 1: Choose Free Pickup as your delivery method
While you're in the show, you must choose Free Pickup before you make a purchase.
Only purchases made after you select Free Pickup will use it as the delivery method.
- For auctions: Tap the Wallet icon > Delivery Method > Free Pickup
- For Buy It Now: At checkout, tap Delivery Method and select Free Pickup
Your choice is saved for future shows with that seller. You can update it by following the same steps above.
Step 2: Pick up your order
After purchase, you’ll get pickup details in email and in your Order Details page:
- Pickup instructions
- A unique Pickup Code
- A QR code (in-app only)
You must pickup your order within 7 days.
At pickup, share your Pickup Code or let the seller scan your QR to confirm.
Cancellations and refunds
- You can request a cancellation within 7 days of purchase, but the seller decides whether to accept (per Whatnot’s cancellation policy)
- If pickup isn’t confirmed within 7 days, the order’s automatically marked complete
- If you need help with your order, contact Whatnot Support
Stay safe during pickup
- Meet in a public place or the seller’s brick-and-mortar store
- Keep all pickup arrangements in Whatnot DMs:
- We can’t resolve disputes if communication happens off-platform
- Make sure DMs are turned on in your account settings
- Pay only through Whatnot—cash or off-platform payments aren’t protected

Find shows offering Free Pickup
To filter for shows that offer Free Pickup:
- Open the Whatnot app
- From Home, tap the search bar and search for a product, brand, etc.
- Tap the Shows tab > Filter > Free Pickup
- Select your address and local radius
- View results
