This article outlines how to schedule a live show both on the mobile app, as well as on the web. This article also includes how to schedule multiple live shows at once.
Scheduling a Live Show on the App
- Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device.
- Tap the Plus (+) symbol in the top right corner of the screen and select Schedule a live show.
- Enter a Show title and Show description.
- Choose your preferred moderators:
- Tap the field under Moderators
- Search for and tap on the users you want to add.
- Tap the top left corner of the app to return to the scheduling window.
- Select a Date and Time for the show.
- To schedule multiple live shows, tap the Repeat dropdown and choose either Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Add a thumbnail and preview video (optional). You can add these later if you want. Note: The ideal resolution for lives thumbnail and Preview Videos is 9:16 and Picture: 11:17 . Show thumbnail dimensions of 630x1200 are recommended! You can find digital assets here.
- Tap the + button under Category and choose the category you'll sell under for that show.
- Tap + Add Tags to add tags that will make your livestream discoverable in the app.
- Under Content settings, tap the toggle next to each setting to turn it on.
- Explicit content: Turn this on if your stream will contain explicit language. Check our Community Guidelines to ensure you're following our rules related to explicit content.
- Mute words: Turn this on if you want to mute certain words in your chat. Messages containing muted words will be flagged and will not be visible to your viewers.
- Private stream: Turn this on if you want to host a test livestream, meaning that your followers will not be alerted and no one will be able to join without a link to the stream. Learn more.
Scheduling a Live Show on the Web
- Open the Whatnot app on your mobile device.
- Click the profile icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen, then click My Livestreams.
- Select Create Stream.
- Enter a Show title and Show description.
- Select a Date and Time for the show.
- Click Choose to the right of Choose a Category and select the category you'll sell under for that show. Then click Done.
- Select Add to the right of Add tags to your livestream and choose the tags that will help others discover your livestream.
- Choose your preferred moderators:
- Click the Add button under Moderators.
- Search for and select the users you want to add.
- Click Done to return to scheduling your livestream.
- Add a thumbnail and preview video (optional). You can also add these later if you want.
- Under Content settings, click the toggle next to each setting to turn it on.
