How to schedule a show

Scheduling a show in advance gives you time to prepare your listings and promote the show. 

You can schedule a show from the app or the whatnot.com. This article covers how to schedule, plus how to repeat, edit, or cancel a show.

If plans change and you need need to reschedule, you can edit your show's date and time. 

Schedule a show on the app

To schedule a new show: 

  1. Open the Whatnot app

  2. Tap Seller Hub at the bottom of the screen

  3. Select Schedule a Show

  4. Name your show and set a date and time 

  5. (Optional) Add moderators by username 

  6. (Optional) Tap Repeat to schedule your show Daily, Weekly, or Monthly (only on iOS)

  7. (Optional) Add a thumbnail or preview video

    • Thumbnail in feed: 11:17 ratio

    • Inside the show: 9:16 ratio

    • Recommended size: 1080x1920

    • Thumbnail guide

    • If you don't set one, we'll use your profile photo
  8. Select the right Category for your show to increase discoverability 

    • Shows only appear in the category you select

    • If you're selling a mix of products, choose the primary category

  9. Choose your Primary Selling Format (Auction, Buy It Now, Surprise Sets)
  10. (Optional) Add Tags to help your show get discovered
  11. (Optional) Adjust Shipping Settings if you want to set specific settings for this show
  12. Set your Content Settings (optional) and Primary Language 
    • Explicit content – Flag if your stream has strong language

    • Mute words – Hide flagged words from chat

    • Tip: Check Whatnot's Community Guidelines to make sure you're following the rules
  13. Set your Show Discoverability 
    • Public – Discoverable by everyone
    • Private – Only discoverable through sharing, no notifications (good for test shows) 

To edit or cancel your show: 

  1. From Seller Hub, open your scheduled show 
  2. Tap More ⋯ icon
  3. Select Edit Show or Cancel Show

To start your show and go live: 

  1. From Seller Hub, open your scheduled show 
  2. Tap Start Show

  1. Log in to whatnot.com

  2. Click your account icon (top right)

  3. From the Selling tab, open Seller Hub

  4. Go to the Shows page

  5. Click Schedule a Show

  6. Name your show and set a date and time

  3. Click Start Stream
