Change or reset your Whatnot password

You can update your password anytime from your account settings, or reset it if you’ve forgotten it. 

Your Whatnot password helps keep your account secure when you sign in or update details like your email address.

Change your password

If you’re already signed in, you can change your password from your account settings.

You’ll need to enter your current password to confirm the change. If you don’t remember it, reset your password instead. 

Reset your password 

If you forgot your password and can't login, you can reset it from the login screen or on our account recovery page.

When you reset your password, you’ll be signed out of all devices. Sign in again using your new password.

To reset your password: 

1. Go to the account recovery page, or 
2. On the email login screen (app or web) click Forgot password?
3. Enter the email address associated with your Whatnot account
4. Check your inbox for a reset password link 

The reset password link is valid for 30 minutes. If it expires, just repeat these steps to get a new one. 

If you don’t see the email, search for “Whatnot Forgot Password," or check your spam and promotions folders. 

Set a password 

If you signed up using a third-party login like Apple, Google, or Facebook, you can still set a password for your Whatnot account. 

This gives you another way to sign in using your email and password, and your linked account will stay connected.

To set a password: 

1. Go to whatnot.com and click your account icon in the top right
2. Select Account Settings, then open the Account page
3. Choose Set password
