Make an offer on a Buy It Now product

You can make an offer on some Buy It Now (BIN) items in the Whatnot app or on whatnot.com, if the seller has offers turned on.

When you make an offer, the seller can accept, decline, or send a counteroffer. If it's accepted, your card will be charged and the seller will ship your item.

How to make an offer

If the seller has enabled offers, you’ll see a Make Offer button when viewing the product. You won’t be charged unless the seller accepts.

To place an offer:

1. From the app or whatnot.com, open the eligible product listing 

2. Tap Make Offer (app) or Offer (web)

3. Choose a percentage discount or enter a custom offer amount

4. Tap Continue 

5. Review your offer, payment, and shipping details 
6. Confirm your offer 

You won’t be charged unless the seller accepts. If your offer is accepted, you’ll get an order confirmation by email. 

If the seller doesn’t respond, your offer expires automatically after 30 days.

If you make an offer during a live show, the seller can view and respond during their show.

Respond to a seller's counteroffer 

If the seller sends a counteroffer, you’ll get a notification.

To review or respond:

1. Go to Activity > Offers.

2. Choose the offer you want to view.

3. Select one of the following:

   • Accept (you’ll be charged right away).

   • Reject (the negotiation ends). 

After you cancel your offer, the status will update and the seller gets notified.
