You can share your computer screen during a live show to share videos, gameplay, websites, or other on-screen content to your viewers.
Screen sharing starts from the web (whatnot.com), even if you’re hosting your livestream from a mobile device.
On this page:
How to share your screen
- Start your show from your phone or whatnot.com
- From your computer, open a new tab and go to Seller Hub > Shows.
- Under your active show, click Start Sharing.
- Choose what you want to share (entire screen, specific window, or browser tab).
- Click Share to confirm.
Audio and screen sharing tips
Audio sharing is only supported when sharing a browser tab, not a window or your entire screen.
To share audio from a Chrome browser tab, check Share system audio in the bottom-left corner of the share window.
If you’re playing audio, lower the volume on your phone to prevent echo. Use the volume controls within the app you’re sharing from (such as YouTube or Spotify), not your computer’s system volume.
Switch screen positions on mobile
While screen sharing, you can adjust how your screen and camera appear in the mobile app.
Tap the double arrow icon on the right side of your livestream to swap which view appears on top.
Tip: Want more control over layouts, camera views, or screen configurations? Consider using OBS with your live show for a more advanced setup.
Stop screen sharing
Your show will continue even after you stop screen sharing.
To stop sharing your screen:
- From your computer, open a new tab and go to Seller Hub > Shows.
- Under your active show, click Stop Sharing.
Confirm.
