The following are examples of Card Break setups that comply with our policy that Card Breaks must be fully visible

Setup 1

How you show the entire card break setup and how you show the pack(s) being opened in the break: Leveraging the 0.5 zoom in Seller Tools on iOS (Android coming soon), we can show the entire card break setup with just one camera. Note that this configuration is somewhat prohibitive - you’ll need to position your card packs strategically to keep them within the zoomed-out camera frame.

Setup 2

How you show the entire card break setup: Here, you place a large mirror behind your cards. All cards in the break should be visible in the mirror throughout your livestream. This allows for portions of your desk off to the side or behind you to be shown on stream.

How you show the pack(s) being opened in the break: Go live from the Whatnot app and position your phone's camera towards the mirror, which serves as the main product camera capturing a closer view of the packs you’re opening as part of your break. Because it faces the mirror, the phone camera also captures all cards in the break throughout the livestream.

Setup 3

How you show the entire card break setup: Here, you replace the mirror from Config 2 with an iPad with the camera app open, ideally using a wide angle front camera, if your tablet model has that feature. Place the horizontal aspect-ratio iPad / tablet behind your cards. All cards in the break should be visible on the iPad / tablet camera throughout your live stream.

How you show the pack(s) being opened in the break: Go live from the Whatnot app and position your phone's camera towards the tablet screen, which serves as the main product camera - a closer view of the packs you’re opening as part of your break. The phone camera also captures what’s happening on the iPad screen.

Setup 4:

How you show the entire card break setup: A webcam is used as a second camera angle, added to your stream using the screen share feature. You can open this webcam anywhere on your computer and share that webcam view to your stream from the app.

How you show the pack(s) being opened in the break: Go live from the Whatnot app and use your phone camera as your main product camera.

Setup 5

How you show the entire card break setup: In this OBS setup, the overhead camera that’s positioned on the high stand above the desk shows all the products in the break.

How you show the pack(s) being opened in the break: The phone camera that’s closer to the desk is the main product camera, showing when packs are opened and cards are revealed.
