Set notifications in the app

Choose which notifications you receive from Whatnot on your iOS or Android device, including when sellers go live, someone @mentions you in a show, or someone follows you.

Change your notification settings

1. Open the Whatnot app.
2. Tap Account .
3. Scroll down and tap Notifications.
4. Update your preferences and select the types of notifications according to various types you may receive. 
   • Notifications are themed by buyer, seller, and general notifications.
   • You can find settings across managing livestream notifications from sellers you follow, recommended content, saved content, and more. 

Change show notifications for a seller you follow

1. Open the seller’s Whatnot profile.
2. Tap the bell icon in the top-right.
3. Choose a notification option:
   1. All Notifications: A notification whenever the seller goes live.
   2. No Notifications: Turn off all notifications when the seller goes live, unless you’ve bookmarked their show.

Clear the app’s notification badge

To clear the notification badge on the Whatnot app icon, clear both:

4. Your DMs in the Activity tab.
5. Your notifications under the bell icon.

You need to clear both for the badge to disappear.
