Winning a Coupon in a Giveaway

Some sellers offer coupons as giveaway prizes instead of physical items. Entering works the same as any other giveaway: it's free, and you need to be in the show when the winner is selected. If you win, the coupon is added to your account automatically and gives you a discount on a future purchase from that seller. It shows up when you check out with that seller, has an expiration date, and only works with the seller who ran the giveaway. Nothing ships, and there's no code to enter.

How coupon prizes work

• Entering is the same as any giveaway. Coupon giveaways are free to enter, and you must be present in the show when the winner is selected.
• If you win, your coupon is added to your account right away. There’s no code to enter and nothing ships.
• The coupon shows its discount amount and expiration date, and only works with the seller who ran the giveaway.

Using your coupon

• Join a show from the seller who ran the giveaway.
• Buy as you normally would.
• At checkout, select your coupon to apply the discount.

FAQs

• Can I use my coupon with any seller?
  • No. The coupon only applies to purchases from the seller who ran the giveaway.
• Why do I see a $0 order in my purchases?
  • Each giveaway win is recorded as a $0 order so you have a record of it. You weren’t charged, and nothing ships.
• What happens if I don’t use my coupon before it expires?
  • The coupon expires and can no longer be used. Expired coupons can’t be restored or reissued.
• Can I exchange my coupon for cash or transfer it to someone else?
  • No. Coupons have no cash value and are tied to your account.
• Can the same person win more than once?
  • Yes, in giveaways offering multiple coupons. If you win more than one, they’ll show stacked at checkout, and you can apply one per order.
• The seller’s prices are in a different currency than mine. What happens?
  • The coupon is in the seller’s currency (for example, Japanese yen for a seller in Japan). When you check out, the discount is applied to your order and reflected in your local currency total.
• I won, but I don’t see a coupon.
  • Giveaway coupons appear at checkout when you’re buying from the seller who ran the giveaway, so you won’t see it while in another seller’s show. If it isn’t there when you check out with the right seller, contact Whatnot Support and we’ll look into it.
