Whatbot is our virtual support assistant available for sellers, designed to help you get quick answers and resolve common issues. 

Whatbot can:

  • Find and share answers from Help Center so you don’t have to search 
  • Guide you through troubleshooting steps and basic workflows
  • Ask questions about your issue 
  • Connect you with a Whatnot Support specialist when you need help from a person 

Whatbot can’t take actions on your account, like issuing refunds or changing shipments. If you need those types of updates, it’ll guide you through the right steps or help you contact our Support team. 

Note: Whatbot is an automated assistant, not live chat. It doesn’t have the authority to make commitments on behalf of Whatnot.

Where you can find Whatbot

As a seller, you can find Whatbot in your Seller Hub. 

To chat directly with Whabot (Seller Hub on web):

  1. From whatnot.com, open Seller Hub
  2. On the left menu, click Support Chat

To get help with an order (Seller Hub on app or web): 

  1. Open your Orders page in Seller Hub. 
  2. Select the order.
  3. Tap Get help with this order. 

When you ask for help with an order, Whatbot may guide you through a few questions to resolve common issues or collect details before connecting you with our team Support team. This can save time if a support specialist needs to step in.


If Whatbot can’t help

If Whatbot can’t resolve your issue, it'll help you create a support ticket so a Whatnot team member can step in. 

You’ll see a message in chat once a ticket is created. 

After a ticket is created:

  • A support specialist will review your case. 
  • Our team member will reply by email, usually within 48 hours. 
  • Respond to the email anytime to continue the conversation.
  • Your messages go straight to the specialist handling your case.

Share feedback about Whatbot’s responses

At the end of a chat, tell us if Whatbot helped you by:

  • Rating your experience (click thumbs up 👍 if it helped or thumbs down 👎 if it didn’t)
  • Adding optional written feedback

Your feedback helps us improve Whatbot’s functionality. 


View past chats with Whatbot 

  1. Open the Whatnot app
  2. Tap the Messages icon in the top right
  3. Select the Whatnot Support tab

You’ll see any past conversations you’ve had with Whatbot, including timestamps and articles shared.

Whatbot is trained on Whatnot’s Help Center and Policies, and is designed to give helpful answers. However, it can sometimes misunderstand, provide incomplete information, or make mistakes.

  • The complexity of the queries it’s designed to handle 
  • The effectiveness of its algorithms
