Luxury Bags & Accessories Pre-Authentication Program

Starting on October 23, 2025 we will be offering exclusive discounts for eligible U.S. Whatnot Luxury sellers who pre-authenticate their Luxury Bags & Accessories items. 

How it works: 

Exclusive discounts

In partnership with Entrupy and Real Authentication, we are offering discounted authentication rates to all global sellers of Luxury Bags & Accessories. Authentication using Entrupy will cost $7 per item* and authentication through Real Authentication will be 75% off, or $10 for Basic Authentication with COA*. 

Claiming the Entrupy discount 

Existing Entrupy account: 

• To claim the Entrupy discount, please fill out this form to link your seller Entrupy account with Whatnot’s Entrupy account. You will receive a confirmation email indicating that your discount has been activated, and you will be charged $7 for each Luxury authentication in your next billing cycle. Note: the $7 cost will not apply to Entrupy’s specialty items (e.g., Hermes bags).  

New Entrupy account: 

• Go to this website to create an account linked to the Whatnot seller discount. You will receive an email when your account has been confirmed. 
• You’ll need a device to capture high-quality images of your items. Devices will be free for the first 50 sellers. After that, they will be offered at a discounted price of $250. 

Note: Prices are shown in USD. If applicable, you may be charged the equivalent amount in your local currency.

Claiming the Real Authentication discount

The Real Authentication discount gives you 75% off your full purchase, including Basic Authentication and add-on services. To claim the Real Authentication discount, please fill out this form. To get your COA, please be sure to add Official Documentation to your purchase. This cannot be combined with other Real Authentication discount codes or discounted pricing. 

How to add COAs to product listings:

To give visibility into your product's authenticity and strengthen buyer confidence, you can directly add the COAs to your product listings:  

• Add a link to the Entrupy or Real Authentication COA in your listing description 
• Ensure the product images on the COA match the product images in your listing 
• Your business name should match the name on your COA 
• Do not reuse or duplicate COAs 

Please note that discounts are subject to change in the future. Sellers who don’t properly use their COAs on Whatnot may also lose access to the discounted rates.

FAQs: 

Which countries is this program available to? 

The reduced authentication rates are available to all Luxury sellers on Whatnot. The limited-time launch promotion is only available for eligible US sellers. 

Why does Entrupy require a device for authentication? 

Entrupy’s device is required to analyze detailed image data for each authentication.

How much is Entrupy’s authentication device? 

Entrupy’s device is free for the first 50 new sellers who sign up. Once those are claimed, additional devices are available at a discounted rate of $250. 

What happens if a seller uses the same Certificate of Authenticity for multiple items? 

• Each pre-authenticated item must have its own unique certificate of authenticity. If Whatnot determines that a Certificate of Authenticity is being duplicated, or otherwise falsified, we will take action against the seller, ranging from a warning to removing a seller’s selling privileges. 
• If you identify a seller using a duplicate or falsified Certificate of Authenticity, please report the listing in-app.
