Reduced Commission on High-Value Orders Promotion

Starting January 14, 2026, Whatnot began charging a 0% commission on the portion of the sale price over $1,500 on individual orders in select categories plus standard payment processing. 

Note: Starting at 12:00am EST on June 4th, 2026, Whatnot extended this promotion to include individual orders in Bags & Accessories and Jewelry & Watches.

How It Works

What: Whatnot charges 0% base commission on the portion of a sale above $1,500 for any items sold in the categories listed below. Sellers will still be charged the normal 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee for the full transaction value.

Example: If you sell a high-end item for $2,000, you will be charged standard commission (8%) on the first $1,500 and $0 commissions on the remaining $500 + payment processing on the full transaction value.

Included categories: Comics & Anime, Toys & Hobbies, Coins & Money, Trading Card Games, Entertainment Cards, Sports Singles subcategories (see other restrictions), Bags & Accessories, Jewelry & Watches

Other Restrictions: Rate only applies to the Singles subcategories in Sports Cards. Sports breaks and Surprise Products are excluded from the promotion.

Shipping & Insurance: We strongly recommend filming yourself packaging and shipping your items. All listings must comply with our Counterfeit Policy: sellers found in violation risk corrective action against their account.

Reduced commissions will apply to all products properly listed under the categories and show formats as stated above. Please make sure your products are properly categorized when creating the listing for the promotion’s automatic rate adjustments to take effect.

Please note that this structure only applies to the categories and show formats listed above. If we find any evidence that you are abusing the promotion by misrepresenting non-related products, we reserve the right to take corrective action against your account.

Promotion Terms: This is a limited-time promotion. Whatnot reserves the right to modify, suspend, or end this promotion, including the eligible categories, qualifying thresholds, and commission rates, at any time and for any reason, with or without prior notice. This promotion is offered in addition to, and remains subject to, Whatnot's Terms of Service and all applicable Whatnot policies. In the event of any conflict between this promotion and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern.

Yes, there are certain show formats that are restricted for this rate:

Sports:

• Only applies to Sports Singles subcategories - when listing your items, please make sure to select the relevant “Singles” subcategories for the promotional rate to apply (Football Singles, Basketball Singles, Baseball Singles, Soccer Singles, Hockey Singles, UFC Singles, Wrestling Singles)
• Sports breaks and Surprise Products are excluded from the promotion

How do I enroll in this program?

Enrollment is not necessary! Just make sure to properly list your product under the relevant categories and show formats. Any sales will automatically be charged this rate. Whatnot sellers will receive payment as they normally would with any completed order.

Are international sellers eligible?

All sellers are eligible to participate. For international sellers, the 0% commission will apply to the amount above the high-value threshold in their local currency USD/AUD/EUR/GBP 1,500 or JPY 225,000.
