The condition definitions below apply to all consumer electronics sold on Whatnot, including but not limited to smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, smartwatches, and accessories.
Sellers are responsible for selecting the condition that most accurately reflects the item being sold. If an item doesn’t match the condition selected, we review the listing, any live show disclosures, and the available evidence to determine what happened. If the item was misrepresented, the seller may be responsible for refund costs. Misrepresentation may also result in listing removal, penalties, or account action. Please refer to our Seller Protection Policy for more information.
What Does ‘Refurbished’ Mean - An item that was previously purchased and used, then returned. Before being resold, the product is sent to the original manufacturer (OEM) or a qualified repair facility, where trained technicians inspect, test, and repair it as needed to ensure it is in proper working condition. Typically, Refurbished is considered higher quality due to more extensive & professional testing.
What Does ‘Used’ Mean - An item that was previously purchased and used. While it has not been refurbished by the manufacturer or repair facility, the seller has tested the product for power and basic functionality to confirm it is in working condition before listing it for sale.
