Only eligible sellers can purchase Whatnot gift cards and use Whatnot gift cards as prizes in giveaways. Whatnot gift card giveaways are subject to these Whatnot gift card Giveaway rules, Whatnot’s Giveaways Overview, Giveaway Rules and Requirements, Whatnot’s Terms of Service, and the applicable Gift Card Terms and Conditions.
Who can run Whatnot gift card giveaways?
Only sellers approved by Whatnot may purchase, attach, or distribute Whatnot gift cards through a giveaway. Whatnot may limit or remove access at any time. Access to ordinary giveaways does not guarantee access to Whatnot gift card giveaways.
Whatnot gift card giveaways are currently available only in the United States and Canada, and participation is restricted to users residing in the same country as the seller.
Whatnot gift card giveaways are not available in private streams.
Buying Whatnot gift cards for giveaways
Eligible sellers may buy Whatnot gift cards through the Whatnot app for use in eligible giveaways.
Whatnot gift card purchases must be paid with an eligible credit card. Whatnot gift cards may not be purchased using PayPal, Venmo, buy-now-pay-later services, Whatnot promotional credits, coupons, or another gift card.
Each Whatnot gift card may have a value between $10 and $2,000 in the applicable local currency. We may apply lower limits at any time.
A seller may purchase no more than $10,000 in Gift Cards during any 24-hour period. This limit applies across all Whatnot accounts controlled by the same person or legal entity. Opening or using multiple accounts does not increase the limit. Whatnot may allow higher purchase limits subject to eligibility criteria, verification procedures, and any additional requirements it imposes. Whatnot may impose additional limits on the purchase or use of gift cards at any time.
Whatnot may delay, decline, review, freeze, or cancel a Whatnot gift card purchase or related giveaway at any time.
Attaching a Whatnot gift card to a giveaway
You may attach only a Whatnot gift card that is available in your Whatnot gift card inventory and was purchased by you from Whatnot.
You may not use a Whatnot gift card obtained from an unauthorized seller, reseller, auction site, or other third party.
The gift card amount and currency shown in the giveaway must match the attached Whatnot gift card. You may not replace, downgrade, or change the gift card prize based on who wins.
A Whatnot gift card may not be attached to more than one active giveaway at the same time. Whatnot may prevent a giveaway from starting if the attached gift card is unavailable, restricted, voided, or otherwise ineligible.
Whatnot gift card giveaways may have additional limits on the number of cards or total value that can be attached to one giveaway.
Marketing and off-platform activity
You may use a gift card as a giveaway prize through Whatnot’s giveaway feature.
You may not sell, advertise, or distribute a Whatnot gift card through an unauthorized channel, including an off-platform resale or exchange. You may not use Whatnot’s name, logos, gift card artwork, or other brand assets to suggest that an outside promotion is sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Whatnot without written approval.
Whatnot may monitor gift card purchases, giveaway activity, card assignment, redemption, related accounts, payment disputes, and seller payouts for fraud, abuse, and compliance purposes.
What happens if there is a problem?
Whatnot may decline a purchase, prevent a giveaway from starting, remove a Whatnot gift card from a giveaway, freeze or void a Whatnot gift card, restrict redemption, or take action against an account if it believes that the card or activity is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or violates these terms.
If a seller loses access to Whatnot gift card giveaways, Whatnot gift cards reserved for giveaways may be frozen for the restriction period or indefinitely..
If a Whatnot gift card is associated with a chargeback, fraud investigation, account ban, or other enforcement action, Whatnot may take action on the card or related balances. A card may not be restored solely because it was transferred or awarded before the investigation was completed.
