Independent Sellers Day Reduced Commission Promotion FAQs

What is the promo? 

To celebrate ‘Independent Sellers Day’, we’re adjusting all commission fees to 4%* on all live and marketplace sales within the promotional period for all US sellers. 

*any Coins & Money products listed in the Coins & Money category will have commission adjusted to 2%

Does the fee reduction include payment processing fees?

No, sellers will still pay a 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee for each transaction in addition to the reduced commission rate. 

How long does this promo run?

The promotion period is localized to your timezone (your timezone is determined by your billing address) and will run from Friday, July 4th at 6:00 AM to Friday, July 5th at 11:59 PM.

What sales are eligible for the promotion?

The promotion applies to all live and marketplace sales within the promotional period. When you schedule or start your show does not impact if this promotion will apply to a sale — the only thing that matters is when each individual listing’s purchase is processed.

If a customer submits an ‘Offer’ on a listing prior to the start of the promotion and you accept the offer within the promotion period, the promotion will not be valid. This promotion only applies to ‘Offers’ that are both submitted by the customer and accepted by the seller within the promotion period.

This promotion only applies to commission, it does not apply to payment processing fees. Transaction fees will remain the same (2.9% + $0.30).

Is this promotion only available in the US?

Yes, this event is in celebration of the 4th of July US holiday, and will only be available to sellers within the US. 

Can I apply for my show to be featured in this campaign?

If you’re planning a show during the promotion period that heavily features a deal for your buyers, you can apply to be featured in our deals campaign. If your show is selected to be featured in this campaign, it will be featured in the Independent Sellers Day carousel the top of the category page that you’re selling in.

How to apply to be featured:

1. Schedule a show during the promo period that is centered around an amazing deal that your buyers won’t want to miss.
2. Submit an application to be featured by June 25th. Be sure to include a link to your scheduled show(s). 

If your show is chosen, it will be visible in the carousel at the top of your category page from July 4th, keep an eye out! Regardless of your show being chosen or not, take advantage of the reduced 4% commission (and 2% for Coins) this 4th and 5th of July!

I applied to have my show featured for this event and haven’t heard back yet. Did my show get accepted?

Unfortunately, we cannot feature all shows that apply to be featured in this campaign. If you are chosen, your show will be in the carousel at the top of your category feed starting July 4th. Keep an eye out!
