Multi-Slab Scanning

Whatnot Support Whatnot Support

Available in beta for Auctions, you can now seamlessly scan up to 15 slabs (for cards and coins) to capture their photos and automatically fill in their basic field values, e.g., Title, Category, Description, Brand, so you no longer need to enter these fields manually! You’ll only have to enter the product listing flow once to scan up to 15 slabs and generate up to 15 individual slab product listings, making it a snap to add slabs in bulk to your profile and to your shows. The Multi-Slab Scanner is currently available on iOS and will roll out to other platforms soon.

* Only on iOS for now with a small group of sellers; we are working hard to expand to more sellers soon.

  1. Open the Whatnot mobile app on iOS.
  2. Tap the + Sell button in the bottom center of your screen.
  3. Tap Create a Product.
  4. Tap Photos / Videos.
  5. Tap Slab Scanning.

  1. Making sure the entire slab is in view, tap the big white shutter button to capture a photo of the slab. Repeat this process for the back of the card if desired.

  1. For additional actions on the slab you just scanned, tap the yellow See Scans (1) button in the bottom right corner.

  1. Tap the thumbnail preview.

  1. To create another slab product listing, tap the < in the upper left corner and tap the Next Slab button in the bottom left corner. Repeat steps 6-9 for every additional slab you want to list  - you can list up to 15 individual slab listings at a time through this flow.
  2. Once you’ve uploaded as many slabs as you’d like, tap the yellow See Scans (number of total scans) button in the bottom right corner to get to the Scan Results page.

  1. Select the desired Bulk Duration for this series of slab listings:
    1. End Individually - Each slab’s auction will end at a different date and time that you specify.
    2. End Sequentially - Enter the date and time that you want the first slab’s auction to end; then select how long you want each slab’s auction to be. You can choose 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 30 minutes.
    3. Bulk Custom - You can choose for every slab in this bulk listing to end at the same date and time.
