France Shipping for Sellers

Whatnot Support Whatnot Support

By default, shipping is completely free for the seller for most types of orders. Whatnot will provide you with prepaid shipping labels to ship your items. The shipping label provided should cover the aggregate weight of the items in the package as well as the weight of the packaging.

You can find a general shipping FAQ here. It covers common questions sellers on Whatnot have about shipping. If you are a new seller we recommend you first read the general FAQ and only then read below for shipping details specific to France.

Overview

Whatnot uses two carriers for shipments in France - Mondial Relay and La Poste. (Lettre Suivie and Colissimo).

For letters under 100 g we use La Poste Lettre Suivie. This is the most economical way to ship things such as TCG and sports cards. These packages will be sent directly to the buyer’s home address.

For parcels above 100g, Whatnot uses Mondial Relay. Parcels are delivered to pick up points and buyers need to go pick them up.

Sellers have the responsibility to drop off packages at the correct carrier - whether La Poste or Mondial Relay.

If a package ends up being heavier than our algorithm has calculated, sellers can manually adjust the weight. All sellers have up to 5 free adjustments a week.

Shipping destinations

French sellers can use Mondial Relay to ship packages to France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Italy. Colissimo International will be used for Rest of Europe and Rest of World. Pricing for all countries can be found here.

Package dimensions and weight

For France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Italy the maximum weight we will allow is 25kg. For all other destinations the maximum weight is 20kg.

Maximum dimensions are 41x38x64cm. Packages larger than that will be rejected by Mondial Relay.
