Reduced Commission on Vintage Comics

Starting October 9th at 12:00 am PST and running through March 31st 2024, 11:59 pm PST, we will be offering a special promotion, lowering commission on all sales for Vintage Comics down to 4% plus our usual payment processing charge (2.9% + $0.30). Standard commission outside of Vintage Comics (e.g., Modern Comics) is 8% plus our usual payment processing charge (2.9% + $0.30)

How It Works

Reduced commissions will apply to all products properly listed as Vintage Comics under the ‘Comics & Manga’ category. 

Please make sure your products are properly categorized when creating the listing for the promotion’s automatic rate adjustments to automatically take effect. Please note that this promotion is for Vintage Comics (pre-1991) only and does not extend out to any additional categories or Modern Books. If we find any evidence that you are abusing the promotion by misrepresenting non-related products, we reserve the right to take corrective action against your account.

Is a reduced commission available for other categories on Whatnot? 

This specific promotion only applies to only Vintage Comics within the ‘Comics & Manga’ category. 

Whatnot does offer special promotions from time to time in other categories. 

How long will this last? 

This change will take effect on October 9th (12:00 am PST) and will last through March 31st, 2024 (11:59 pm PST). Only sales made within the promotional period are eligible for the discounted promotional commission rate. 

Note: This promo does not apply to sales completed before this promotional period. 

Promotion Start: Monday, October 9th at 12:00:00 am PST 

Promotion End: Saturday, March 31st 2024 at 11:59:59 pm PST 

How do I enroll in this program?

Enrollment is not necessary! Just make sure to properly upload your listing as a Vintage Comic for an upcoming ‘Comics & Manga’ show and any sales will automatically be charged a 4% commission rate. Whatnot sellers will receive payment as they normally would with any completed order. Here is an example of what would and would not be eligible
