Capturing and Displaying Hits in Your Livestream

During your livestream, you can capture a “hit” to save the moment for your buyers. A hit can be anything from pulling a holo card from a Pokemon pack, a big pull from a sports break, or something cool from a mystery box.

When you capture a hit, you’ll attach the following to the buyer’s order: 

• A photo of the hit.
• A clip captured by the buyer using the Share Clip button when the hit was assigned. 
• An optional title.

You can capture a hit anytime using the Assign Hit tool via the livestream seller tools. You can also use the Hit Widget tool to play a slideshow of all the hits captured during the livestream. 

Note: Hits are currently only available on the mobile app. 

Assigning a Hit During a Livestream

There are two ways to assign a hit in a livestream. For items in the Sports and Trading Card Games category

1. Once a hit occurs, ensure the item is centered in front of your mobile’s rear-facing camera. This is important to ensure you capture a good photo of the hit when you assign it. 
2. Go to the Assign Hit seller tool using one of the following methods:
   • For items in the Sports and Trading Card Game categories:
     1. Tap the Assign Hit button that appears at the bottom of your screen once the auction ends. This will automatically take a photo of the hit.
        
        
   • For all other item categories:
     1. Tap the three-dot menu at the far right.
        
        
     2. Select Assign Hit. This will automatically capture an image of the hit.
        
        
3. Tap on the purchase you want to assign the hit to. 
4. Enter a Title to help identify the hit.
5. Tap Save.
   

Showing Hits During Your Livestream

You can use the Hit Widget tool to broadcast all hits made during your livestream. This is a great way to share successful hits with your buyers, maintain viewer engagement, and help your buyers keep track of their hits after the livestream ends. 

1. Open your livestream on your mobile device. 
2. Tap the three-dot menu at the far right.
   
   
3. Select Hit Widget. A slideshow of all the hits captured so far during the stream will appear on your screen.
   
4. (Optional) Move and resize the hit widget so it doesn’t interrupt or block anything important on your livestream. 
   • Move: Tap and hold down on the hit widget and drag and drop it wherever you want.
   • Resize: Use two fingers simultaneously and pinch the screen to increase or decrease the size of the hit slideshow. 

To remove the slideshow from your livestream, follow steps 2-3 above.
