PSA grading allows buyers to purchase grading for certain items they purchase from your livestream. With PSA grading, buyers can get their items authenticated and the item's worth evaluated to maximize the value of their purchased items.
PSA grading can only be offered on items sold during your livestream (Auction and Buy It Now items).
This feature is in beta, and for the time being, it is only available to card sellers who have Early Payout and select Funko sellers. If you need grading support, please reach out to sellersupport@whatnot.com.

Promotion on PSA Grading
We are extending our seller incentive, and effective April 1st, sellers will now receive an incentive of $5 per graded card OR 10% off the service level charged (whichever is greater) each time a buyer purchases PSA Grading from them.
PSA Grading Process
- The seller lists their products and offers grading on these items.
- Buyers can purchase the product, request PSA grading, and designate the cards they want graded.
- The seller must verify each grading request in the Seller Hub, confirming the card names and declared values.
- After processing the request, the seller must print out PSA’s Verification Forms and shipping labels for each grading order.
- The seller will package the requested cards with the necessary supplies and included forms and ship them to PSA.
Note: Each PSA grade submission must be packed and shipped separately.
Seller Grading Policy
- If you list an item for grading, you must honor that grading request and verify the request as soon as possible.
- Be as accurate as possible in verifying the grading details (card description and estimated value). This is critical to ensuring buyers are charged appropriately and their orders are processed smoothly.
- Adhere to PSA’s shipping guidelines when sending the cards to PSA. Doing so will ensure the submission’s turnaround time is not delayed and your buyers’ items are properly protected.

- You can start typing into the field to populate a list of options that can help match you to the right item.

Update the Estimated Value field with your best opinion on the card's worth. Note: This doesn’t need to be perfect. Check out this PSA Grading Declared Value article for more guidance.

- Repeat steps 1-7 for all items with a PSA grading request.
Once the grading request is processed, wait for Whatnot to finish processing the submissions.
Printing PSA Verification Forms and Shipping Labels
Once Whatnot processes your PSA grading submissions, you can print the PSA grading verification forms and create a shipping label, package each item, and ship them to PSA.
- Go to your Seller Hub.
- Click Print Verification Forms and print the PSA Verification forms. You’ll get one set of forms for each request. The first page has a barcode that you’ll put on the outside of the package.
- Select Create Label, then Print Label. You’ll get a shipping label to “CU Receiving” (PSA), a shipping label to the buyer, and a packing slip for the buyer.
Packaging and Shipping PSA Grade Request Items
Cards
-
Place each card in a protective flexible pouch (e.g., Card Saver I®).
Note: The flexible pouch you choose must be sturdy enough to allow PSA to remove the item safely. Do not use standard top loaders.
-
Package the cards in the same order they are listed on the Verification Forms (if there are multiple cards in a single submission).
-
Place all cards in between two slightly larger pieces of cardboard. Hold the package together with rubber bands and ensure that the rubber bands are not too tight.
- Do not put team bags on top of each card.
-
Do not use tape to secure cardboard or card savers.
-
Pack the items in a new, sturdy cardboard box along with the following verification forms:
- Titled PSA Copy #1
- PSA Copy #2
- PSA Item List
- Cut and tape your Submission ID packing label (first page of your verification form) to the outside of your package. Make sure the barcode is completely visible and is not obstructed with packaging tape.
- Attach the “CU Receiving” (PSA) shipping label to the top of the package.
- Ship your package to PSA.
Funko
-
Place each Funko Pop! in a hard stack (i.e., Pop! Armor).
Note: The hard protector you choose must be sturdy enough to allow PSA to remove the item safely. - Pack your items in an adequately sized, new, and sturdy cardboard box for the amount of Pop! items the buyer purchased for grading. 8x6x6 is recommended for single Pop! shipments.
- Fill all empty spaces with packing paper.
-
Include the following forms in your package:
- Titled PSA Copy #1
- PSA Copy #2
- PSA Item List
- Cut and tape your Submission ID packing label (first page of your verification form) to the outside of your package. Make sure the barcode is completely visible and is not obstructed with packaging tape.
- Attach the “CU Receiving” (PSA) shipping label to the top of the package.
- Ship your package to PSA.
For any items in the same order that did not have a PSA grading request, package and ship those items to the buyer as you normally would with the printed buyer’s shipping label and packing slip.
Once PSA receives the shipped items, they’ll evaluate the item as specified by the buyer and ship it back to the buyer once it’s complete. If your buyer has a grading inquiry, direct them to submit requests through the app or via our help center.
